#Carpe diem yoga driver#
I flew out the same day, which was fine in terms of timing and it was super nice that the driver from the trip made a stop at the airport for me. Stay a night in Panama City the day you head back from the islands. Useful for yoga, for laying on the beach, to wear as a dress. Other than that, a pair of flip-flops are handy but you'll be barefoot most of the time! Bring water shoes - I wore them snorkeling and my friend borrowed them the day of our trip to the waterfall.

Staying covered or putting on baby oil all makes them not a problem. The islands get more of a breeze, and if the winds die down there's some little bugs that emerge. My weather report said 90 degrees so I didn't pack this out of fear of being hot in the tent, but that was the weather in Panama City. I went through a tube and a 1/2 since it's so close to the equator. I learned so much on this trip and honestly had a hard time coming back to reality afterward! Highly recommended! Eamon is super easy-going and was awesome in answering any of my pre-trip questions. I went alone on this trip but quickly bonded with everyone. The type of people attracted to this all seem to be of the same mentality - open minded adventurer types - which made many of us feel very close even in just a week of time. the simple pleasure of reading a book in a bikini on a hammock cannot be overlooked here. Retreat from technology, a retreat from the hustle and bustle, and a reminder for wellness! The yoga part was my main attraction initially, but we had insanely good healthy food, a holistic doctor who joined our trip, went sailing, snorkeling, fishing. It was more that a vacation - it was a real retreat. I went on this trip on a whim (literally booked about 3 days before) and am SO glad I did. We highly recommend booking the tour with Carlos and his Carpe Diem Yacht! Luckily Carlos is in very good relationship with the locals and he has their approval for the tours.

Important to know is that the local Kuna's don’t allow doing this charter tours without there approval that most of the boats don’t have. We saw sharks, turtles, sting rays and much more! On top of him being a super friendly guy he also does a lot for the locals Kuna community! He donates some of his profits to the locals and he hires a Kuna as a second Capitan. Carlos took us snorkeling in the best reefs in the area. He is the best chef and cooked us 3 fresh meals a day (pancakes, eggs, fresh fish or lobsters, fruits etc').

Carlos is a very special person that made us feel like we are old friends that are having a Cruz together. We stayed with Carlos for 8 amazing days! During these days he took us around the most beautiful islands in San Blass area. We are a couple in their 30's that got to Carlos (the owner and Capitan of Carpe Diem Sailing yoga Yacht) thru a few friends that did a yoga tour with him a year ago.
